This Crow Call is worth at least a dollar
« on: February 27, 2008, 10:43:19 PM »
Here is a new crow call I just recently turned. I had posted one earlier where I had inset a nickle in it, and now this one has a Sacajawea gold dollar inset, with the eagle side out. I think it is really cool.  I apologize for the picture being so crappy. Just a sign of my photographic skills.  :(

That's really cool. 8)  Are you filling the hole with something or just gluing it in.  I did a few with an alcohol bottle cap in them and used a product called Mirror Coat on them.  It filled the hole fast, but had a hard time with it on the sides.  Its an epoxy bar top product.  I'll see if I can find a picture of them.

Now there you go CW, you just got me to thinking. Hard for me too.  ;D I just drilled the hole, and turned the call. After turning, I did a bit of hand work around the edges and epoxied the coin in. But never thought bout filling it in, Heck, I suppose you could drill it, fill it and then turn it. I'll have to give that some though. I would like to see what product you used. Dang, good idea.

Giving away all my secrets here.  www.systemthree.com Picked it up from Rockler.  I turned mine some after I put the epoxy on.  Then sanded them took em to a buddies place pick em up 2 days later and buff.   Here is the only pic I have with them (really crappy).  I usually take a pic to show what I shipped.  Only the front one is done the others were replaced by the buffed ones.
