Working in the dark..
« on: September 29, 2008, 08:53:01 PM »
Still no power in the shop (Ike)  but I had to get this one done so I hooked up some Gazebo lights and ran extension cords to everything. Quite a site with all the cute little globes lit up and dangeling from the rafters. Anyway, I got er done. Some of the Cocobolo I snaged a few months ago.

I love that shape and, of course, since it is Cocobolo, love the looks.  ;D Hard to beat a nicly shaped call made from Cocobolo.

I've gotta say WOW as well! :o  Very purdy.  The coco looks like it has some purples in it as well.  I like purple!!

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

You did a great job on that one, even if the lighting wasn't all that good.

Very nice call. I'm a big fan of Cocobolo too.  I'm gonna try your method except take it a step farther. I'm gonna go with a flashlight or maybe some candles  :D
