Nice looking calls for sure, but that bench top looks way too clean.  ;D

being new to all this, i don't know much about the looks of certain woods.  but the 2 sticks of zebrawood i got from Bell Forrest sure are nice looking.  i have seen other zebra wood pieces where the grains are relatively straight, these are very well figured, almost spalted looking, and have little worm holes in them in a few places.  really sharp looking.  not sure if i got lucky with these or if it is a common look for the wood,  but i do like it.

i don't think i will EVER order another stick of Leopardwood..i don't much care for turning that stuff.

I've never had the opportunity to turn leopardwood. What didn't you like about it?

it was just alot harder to deal with than the woods i normally turn.  it didn't turn smoothly, it seemed like it was more prone to chipping and tearing out, there were lots of little pocks and voids when i was done which required a ton of sanding to smooth out.  overall, it was just a pain and took twice as long to do anything with.  looks nice, for sure, but a pain IMHO.

Doesn't sound like anything I'd care for either. Thanks for the tip.
