A set for a customer
« on: February 26, 2008, 11:18:12 PM »
Back in January, I made a Cocobolo call with one of Al's nice stippled bands. It was immediately snapped up on the local forum out here in Natzifornia. A few day ago, the fellow got in touch with me and wanted me to make up a set for him, to match the one he already had. He wanted an open reed distress, a howler, and a coaxer. So, I made a set up for him. I used some wonderful Cocobolo I got from Al, some of those wonderful bands of his, except for the copper on the coaxer, and tone boards made by Al. A lot of credit to the beauty of this set has to go to Al. Thank a bunch for your support Al.

The first picture is of the call I sent to him back in January. The set pictures don't include it, as I don't have it, but thought you may enjoy seeing the additions and how they match up.

This first picture is of the call he bought in January.

The following are the ones I just made up for him.

These set pictures show the front and back to show the wonderful colors and grain in the wood I got from Al.
