Tobacco Pipe
« on: March 16, 2012, 10:57:23 PM »
I've recently re-quit smoking cigarettes  :taz: and have taken to a tobacco pipe.  Not necessarily to replace cigarettes, but mostly because I became very interested in the woodworking aspect of pipe making.  There are some VERY intricate designs and such that go into some pipes, and even starting out with a very basic design was actually quite a challenge for me.  I still need to work on the stem shape, and will give it a slight bend downward after I have the surface of it finished. The stummel is made from curly maple, and the stem and tenon insert are made from delrin with a mulie antler insert.

It's pretty rough, but think back to how many of our first calls turned out   :hysterical: Thanks for looking folks!
