Tone board ????s
« on: October 25, 2011, 07:50:00 PM »
Im going to try and make a few tone boards. Does what type of wood you use make a difference, and if so what would be a good one to start with.

Thanks for any suggestions

Waylon.

When first starting I would recommend getting a few 5/8" dowels, cheap is okay.  Take your jig along so you can pick the best fitting dowels.

Marvin is right on with the dowels, maple dowels are what I use when trying new tone board ideas.  They are cheap and save a lot of time.
