Epoxy for bands
« on: September 17, 2011, 06:20:19 AM »
HI everyone I have been reading on this forum for 2 years and a member for about 1 gaining alot of info and I thank you all and AL.
With that said I felt it was time to share some myself. maybe there is already a post on this toppic, if so sorry. Anyhow I use a two part epoxy called for my bands (scotch weld 190-p) It is very strong yet it is not brittle it always stays flexable. I know it is tuff stuff because I use it on my pre fabricated aluminum hand rails I install at schools exc. out side 24/7 hot and cold.

Where do you get that epoxy? I got a little project that sounds perfect for it.  How do you think it compares to jb weld?

Thanks Larry for giving a source for the epoxy. To tell the truth I had no idea on the price, I get it for free because, it gets shipped to me along with my handrails for installation. As far as better than jb weld I say yes. stronger and the flexabilaty factor is a plus.
