Are those all One piece wood upper parts?

Do you use a drill press or drill on your lathe.  I have not been able to get a centered 3/4 to 1/2 hole when trying form my drill press.  Any tips?

jason

PS AWESOME looking calls.  i love the way they flow together and how they are all different.

I to am interested to know how you make a solid one piece deer grunt call.  I don't understand how you would change the small o ring to adjust the call.

Maybe the connector piece is hidden by the tube, but it looks all one piece to me.

I do all my drilling on the lathe take a 1 inch dowel rod turn one end 3/4 and the other end 7/8
Just long enough to hold the reed and it will cover up with the tube I am using molded plastic ones with the o ring grooves already in them so it is quick and easy

Here are the inserts I used on these calls

When taking the wood out of the call body you will need to adjust the reed to get the sounds your are wanting making the reed longer then the tone board will help deepen the grunt
