osage pair for NWTF guys
« on: August 22, 2011, 12:16:45 PM »
Haven't made too many turkey calls recently, but here's a pair I just completed.  The one in front is for the president of a KS NWTF chapter that I've become involved with.  He was the KS 2010 NWTF volunteer of the year.  The one in the back is for Mike Cleary, the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Field Operations for the NWTF.  He killed a bird while his guide, an NWTF biologist, was using my call.  He ordered one for himself!  When I sold a call to Dr. Kennamer with the NWTF a couple months ago, his assistant jokingly indicated to me that my calls can be heard all the way across their office building...I'm sending this one to Mike's office as well....Not going to improve my popularity with the folks hoping for peace and quiet in that office!   :devil2:

Both are osage orange, aluminum over glass, and both have dymalux strikers.  They absolutely talk turkey...Soft tree yelps and purrs all the way up to near box call volume.

Thanks for the compliments fellas.  Andre I use Tru Oil on my turkey calls whenever they're made from domestic woods.  These have probably four coats.
