crow call inserts and parts

i'm just getting started making crow calls and wanted to know where to get insert that are pre tuned and i've been told there inserts with micro grooves to prevent sticking. does anybody know where i could look to find them and how much do they cost. thanks.

I really don't know of any other gut sets out there than what everyone would pick up from THO's store.  I have not seen any anywhere else that seem to be overly different, or have micro grooves.

Yup, Al at the THO store has them.  You might be able to use coarse sandpaper to cut anti-sticking grooves in the toneboard lengthwise, sort of like shallow spit grooves on a duck call toneboard.  Never tried it, but I don't blow a crow call more than once in a blue moon when turkey hunting, so they don't stick on me because they don't even have much of a chance to!
