Title: Tried some elk calls
Post by: Heirloom on June 29, 2008, 08:39:02 PM
Here is my first couple elk call attempts. Hope you like them. They are all from a piece of walnut I had laying around. I stuck a crow reed in them for the picture so I guess they are crow calls right now. At least untl the right reeds come in....LOL

Nice calls Brian. I like the color in that wood.  It looks like it would also make a nice Howler to.

Hey, much better pictures. My old eyes can actually see them. Thanks. Good looking wood in those calls. The finish looks like it needs some additional sanding but the turning of the bells looks good.

By golly it looks like we have an elk call forum gearing up here! ;D

Way to go!  I'll bet they will sound great once you get in the guts.

I just started gluing up some really fancy ones, give me a week or so and I'll put up some pictures.

Doug.
