Title: Crow call for a customer
Post by: Braz on March 26, 2009, 10:44:24 PM
A customer sent me a shed from a Texas Whitetail that he wanted made into a crow call. I told him I'd see what I could do. The antler was a bit small, but I was able to drill a 1/2" hole. I then turned the tone board down to 1/2", fitted it with o-rings and slipped it in. Came out pretty nice. He wanted the eye guard left on too, so it ended up being 7 1/4" long. Sure does sound nice though.

Braz are you going to drill a hole in the base of the eye guard for a lanyard? The call looks nice.

No John, I just figured if he wants it on a lanyard it would hold just fine, being rough and all. Besides, it has already been mailed, so would be kinda difficult now.

ok I was just curious if you planned on it or not. Atleast with antler you have alot of options. I love antler calls. Too bad the stuff is getting so expensive. I just made 2 coon squallers and forgot a lanyard groove in both but a lanyard will hold on the mouth piece. LOL
