Thanks, I tried Google first.  The thickest I saw is 7mil.  Nothing I can find that would qualify as reed material

Try a plastic supply house near you, or in a city near you.   They will be able to get what you need, but you may have to buy large quantities.   Sometimes they will have small pieces laying around they will either give you or let you have for cheap money,
