I use a low set 14 tpi 1/4" blade in my band saw.

The 14tpi blade is amazingly good compared to the stock gap-toothed blade that came with the saw.   The only had a 3/8 instead of 1/4" width, but it is better than I was hoping.  Thanks for the tip.

I watched the video in the link of Rick Dunn (Echo Calls) making a call.  It appears to me he has a blade that is intended for steel on his band saw.  Swapping mine over to a blade intended for steel as I am tired of smoke coming from the blade after three inserts.

I need to do something different again myself now.  Getting smoke too, even with that blade I thought was the solution.
