First off I need to thank Alan Krivoski for the challenge. Alan has one of my deer calls and asked a few months ago if I had ever made an inhale/exhale deer call. I informed that I had not. He asked if I would be willing to try. If it did not work out he still wanted another deer grunt call. Long story short, it was quite a bit more extensive than what I had originally thought it would be, but like every challenge worth every minute! The volume is roughly 76 decibels and is within 4 decibels of my original grunt calls.
This is one of the two i/e grunt calls I have completed this week (I'm not showing Alan's until he sees it first). This one is black walnut with sapwood and a small bark inclusion with black walnut guts. Has the "hidden" buck profile the same as my usual grunt calls. Video file included.
Thanks again, Alan!!!

Very nice! I tried making one of those once, but could never get the volume that you are getting. Once again excellent job!

Excellent job! Is it a buck grunt on both exhale/inhale? Or, is one a doe or fawn bleat, etc?

Very impressive work!! I especially like the video being included!

Super cool!!

Thanks guys. James, both directions can produce tending grunt, yearling buck, doe grunt, doe bleat and estrus bleat. I set them different in the video so you could hear the calls distinctly.

Very cool, indeed!
