Recently, I've been using my 4 jaw chuck to hold the outside of the pot while I turn out the inside. In doing so, it leaves small marks or divits in the pot. To alleviate this, I've been using elec tape wrapped around the pot to protect it, until I could come up with a fix. Recently my son had a flat tire on his dirt bike, and I still had his old inner tube. So I cut out a 3/4 wide piece from the tube making a large rubber band. It worked perfectly! No more marks. Just thought I'd share it, in case anyone else had the same issue.

...and this is why when my wife says I should throw something away, my response is "but I might need it one day." Great tip!
