Title: In need of advice
Post by: B Hoover on September 30, 2016, 01:06:54 PM
I few woodworkers from church and myself are planning on making wooden toys for Operation Christmas Child this year.  Kids from all over the world each receive a shoebox full of different items.  I brought up the idea of yoyo's, but am unsure what the best method is for turning them.  I'm shooting for 100, but we'll see how long the process takes for each one.  My original idea was to turn them on a 1/2" mandrel then glue them up.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

More kids may find a top more entertaining, and you could really crank those out?

Thanks for the info guys!  Great idea, Vince.  I would have responded earlier, but we spent yesterday welcoming a new grandson into the world.
