Been wanting to make one of these since high school shop class. 2/3s or so built. Long way to go but I'm pleased so far with the outcome. Thanks for looking!!

Thank You Dave!! I will post much better pics later. I'll have Diane take them with a real camera next time outside the garage.
-
Looks good. I am eager to see the final product.
-
Thanks Rick!! I am too!! LOL I started on the bonnet this afternoon & made the door & got the rails & stiles made for the sides. Then decided I had enough of the heat & humidity in my naturally heated/cooled garage. :sweatdrop:

Got the stain put on this past Sunday. Never thought that would be a 3 1/2hr ordeal!! Used an Aged Maple Gel stain on it. Need to do some touch ups on the lighter areas yet then spray it down with some shellac.

Got it all finished. I used an atomic movement since I wasn't looking for chimes in this one. Just a glorified clock you might say. Mirror in the waist with the glass shelves & a small puck light with 3 LED's shining down across Diane's glass ware.

Just the small puck light.

Very Nice!

Super cool.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I do appreciate them. And as for merely being a hobbyist woodworker Dave I really am proud of this project. I will be making a Grandmothers clock for Diane as well.
-
That's some very impressive work my man! You should be very proud!

That is some impressive work. That is way above my skill level the only thing I see is the clock face seams to small for the opening. But I'm just splitting hairs great job hammer
-
Thank You kindly!! I appreciate the kind words. I'm very happy with the outcome & am proud of it.
Here's a much better pic.
