The trick is to come up with a way to attach the mouth piece to where it won't break off being carried around in a hunting vest.

This one is square and 5" long, 1 3/4"X1 7/8". The hole in the barrel is 7/8" and is 1 3/4" from the end of the call to the center of the call. Mouth piece is 2" long 3/8"dia. with 1/4" hole. The end of the mouthpiece ends right at the hole in the barrel. This is about a 45 degree angle.

Marvin that is made by Pete Pulley from Missouri he is still making calls he is in his 80's and makes some really cool stuff. I have at least 50 different calls of Petes each is unique in its own way. I have another owl call from Pete that has a turkey call built into it also.

Turkey season has ended here (for the most part anyways) so I am back in the shop.  I am building everything new from scratch.  I am gluing up a rough draft of one of the Pete's type calls.  I want to try it out and hear it before I get all fancy schmancy.  Thanks for posting this as it is a fun project.
