Title: Acrylic/Wood Finishing
Post by: COsby on January 15, 2015, 07:21:36 PM
Hey guys, now that season is winding down, kids' sports are winding down and the shop is warming up... I have a ton of motivation to turn some calls. I've been chomping at the bit to make some new calls.

Anyways, I've been working to get a laminated call. Right now I'm working on acrylic / acrylic but I got to thinking...

How do you finish a call that is let's say a wood barrel with acrylic caps or vise versa? I assume CA finish, but will you not sand through the glue?

Thanks guys, can't wait to get some pics up of my acrylic creation.

I'd just put an oil finish on it. CA works though....

What type of oil would you use? Linseed or ting oil? Thanks
