Couple months back a customer dropped by and said he had some eBay wood he wanted to make some calls out of. I haven't always had good luck with eBay wood, and I told him that, but we went ahead. He had two 1.25" blanks 6" long of the prettiest curly koa I'd ever seen!!! I told him it'd be close but we'd try. Sent them to Mel and got them back a few weeks ago. Made the calls and was pleased, but once engraved and color filled I think they may be some of my prettiest, solely based on the wood! Thanks for looking!
