Title: Polyester casting in RED!
Post by: FloridaQuacker Game Calls on June 17, 2013, 09:20:52 PM
Man..what is the deal?

Tried 2 times and it comes out hardly colored at all!

I did apply too much pearlessence on the first go...but the second try used only a pin head or two.

Color looks great during pouring????

Using the liquid "polyester resin dye" Hobby lobby has.

Green is fine  :stickman1:

Just my opinion but that liquid dye is not that good.  I usually get colored pigments from my resin supplier.  I also use oil based paint not water base but oil.  The key behind using oil is start with only a couple of drops of resin in you cup stir paint till it is smooth and then apply small amounts of resin at a time till you get the resin to the level you want.
