Here's my latest call, made for a repeat customer of mine for his dad, a renowned architect in the Kansas city area. It is hedge that I harvested, oil finish, brass band from Al and copper pins. The pic is not my best and the insert isn't too visible but I was in a hurry!

Does that image look thumbnail size to you guys? I'm having to use the iPad app because the wife killed my computer. :censored:

The picture is small but it does not need to be that big of a picture to see how great it looks.

Beautiful ! :2up:

how did you find the time to make a mallard call?
-
Well ain't that nice, where have you been. I haven't seen you post anything but whistles lately. Nice call Aaron.
-
Nicely done. The greatest complement is a repeat customer.

Yeah, no kidding! Let me tell you, it was a welcome relief from making dozens and dozens and dozens of whistles. Worst part is I think I'm losing my touch on duck calls because I ruined two barrel blanks by turning the band tenon just a hair too small. Just about had a tantrum over that!

Get back in the shop and make a few more before you start to lose your mind. I couldn't imagine having that many calls to make.

Ah, the fastball toward the trashcan with a barrel. I know that pitch well. Looks like third time is the charm.

Next time you're in my shop ask to see the dent in my bandsaw's extruded aluminum fence rail, caused by an errantly pitched insert during one of my less stellar immature moments. Judging by the dent, I still have a good arm for speed but my accuracy is lacking.

Well at least we see you are still human. that call looks great as always. I have a detatched garage i work in and when the days go bad and i come in the wife looks at me and ask " Is everything alright" with a bit of sarcasum.
