Here are a couple Reelfoot style metal reed calls that I finished today. One with a wood wedge and the other with a cork notch. One longer than the other and after tuning both sound the same to me. The long call is cherry with an osage stopper the other I don't know the barrel wood but the stopper is unfinished persimmon. Hit the cork notch with my cutter but does not effect the notch.

Yep I had the AC on today, just about had given up on the metal reed and had put them away for a couple weeks and today it just kind of worked out, I got to watch my cutting a little closer on the next one.
