Great tutorial Robert. Thanks for taking the time to do that for all of us. :2up:

Excellent tutorial. Thank you. Just for curiosity sake what do you prefer to use for glue? I have been told either epoxy or gorilla glue

I apoligize, however I would feel bad if I shared poor information on the best glue to use. I think we may have a glue expert on the forum and I think some information on different glues, I will look and see what I can dig up when I have some more time.

Nice write up. Easy to follow. Thanks for sharing it with us.

 Great Work there Robert! Having done this for years I would like to chime in and say what works for me really well in this instance for glue is the 10 min 2 part epoxies. They really hold well and resist moisture. Thanks again for a fine job Robert.

Thanks for the great tutorial! I've been wanting to try that for some time.

Great work on the tutorial Robert. Got to love antler calls and Robert seems to be the expert on them.
I've used Titebond with all my antler glue-ups as well as wood glue-ups and to get one to break apart is a chore. I'm talking a vice, clamps, and elbow grease kind of chore. I'm not saying Titebond would be any better than the epoxy, but I wouldn't be afraid of using it if you don't have epoxy handy. Just my :2: .

Outstanding tutorial that I thought could use a new bump for new discussion. Really nice description of the process!

Where is a good place to get antler? Let the dog chew the smaller ones and plant some of the so so one for the kids to find when we go she'd hunting. Really don't want to cut up my larger ones.

Thank you, Robert for the excellent info., I am a newbie, and have been wondering how this ,as well as other glue ups were achieved......still learning and turning.....NTC CALLS...(Native Texan Conceptions)....Sweeny, Tx........Since we are darn near neighbors, I must offer you some reclaimed 150 yr. Old Oak or Osage, that I brought home from a barn remodel in Matagorda......if you are interested. I have made some sweet barrels out of both. And commissioned a full call out of the 150 yr. Old osage, truly gorgeous stuff......waiting to teach myself the keg building, before using anymore of it myself...........thanks again......and let me know if you would care for some of the wood......
