Ok, you guys have been so nice, you have to hear the rest of my first experience with coco ... I turned another call out of a different piece.  It came out nice, my expectations were different.  I put an elk antler band on it.  I'll post pics later when I feel better ... which leads to the rest of the story.  Not knowing much about coco, I paid close attention to Braz's comments about allergies.  I started feeling awful, severe abdominal pain, skin pain, etc.  Here it comes I thought coco allergies.  But this was bad.  I'm not thinking too highly of cocobolo at this point.  Anyway, after two visits to the ER, and finally an extensive rash and boils appearing, they diagnosed it.  Shingles.  The good news is I can still turn coco, when the pain subsides.  The bad news is a 2-3 week recovery.  Don't laugh too hard.

I won't laugh because I know how bad shingles can be. Had a friend who had shingles and she was miserable. But take heart, at least it wasn't the allergy, so you can still turn cocobolo. Shingles will go away but the cocobolo allergy, it can just get worse. As least from all I have read.

I have been the shingles route, no real way to describe what it is like to have the shingles, except to say it sucks.  Hang in there, this will get better.
