OK ill tell the secret. not much of a secret though  :rofl:  :rofl:  it's just a plain hickory call, i turned it and sanded it to 320 and left the dust on the call. then a put this minwax blue stain/finishing stuff on on the lathe. this stuff was the consistency of acrylic paint or so. after that the whole call was blue. i occupied myself with something lse for oh, an hour or so. came back and sanded again with 320 until all the blue was off EXCEPT in the deep grooves, then 400, then 600. then did a CA finish. (which you can see i am NOT good at yet LOL) thats all. i was just messing around with it and it turned out to be pretty cool.

hopefully that explains it pretty good. if i missed something just ask!

Where can you find the colored stain?  I can find the wood colors at like Lowe's or Home Depot, but not the colored.
