Once again, there are two kinds of cocobolo. You have Mexican and Nicaraguan. I think KC pointed this out to you in a post just a day or so ago.
Now, armed with that knowledge, you can go on the net and search for wood suppliers, call them and ask them what kind of coco they have. If they are any good at all, they will know. But you are going to have to do a little leg work to find what you want. Sometimes you will get great wood, sometimes you wont, but over time, you will find one or two suppliers who you can count on to have what you want. I think some guys like Glimmer Wood. I've heard they have excellent wood and are very knowledgeable. A place I personally like is Righteous Hardwoods
http://www.righteouswoods.net/ since they are only a hour from me and have one of the largest selections of burls you will ever find. I know for a fact they stock Mexican Coco. If you have a Rockear or Woodcraft store near you, you can check them out as well. You get to hand pick what you buy. Also try woodfinder.com you might have a wood supplier near you that you don't know about. I found two or three around me that I use sometimes so it's a great resource.
