i remembered reading about it on here somewhere so i decided to start experimenting...the poor man's woodie call... :yes:

It looks like a JC reed inserted backwards in a shotgun shell?   :huh:

that's not exactly what i had in mind, but glad to see the creative juices flowing.  the wheel wasn't invented by following the crowd.  how does it sound?

I reload my ammo so i took 12 gauge hull, drilled out enough where the JC reed was snug.  then took a little bit of epoxy and put it around the reed and primer hole to secure it.

it doesn't sound too bad. 

It's different - that's what i like.  :2up:

Very Creative!!! I like your idea and it got my gears turning now!!! I am thinking turning a wood insert inside the shell then back boring the inside 3/4 the way down and then drill it for the JC reed. Just a thought, if I ever get any free time i may give it a shot??? Keep up the good work Mate!! :bigup:
