Hello. New to call making.

Hello,
I am new to call making. I have been a deer hunter for over 30 years. A couple of buddies turned me onto turkey hunting. Never had any idea what I was missing, If I had started turkey hunting 30 years ago, I would be a lot better caller and hunter. Only been into it for 3 years. One of the buddies who got me into it told me I should start making some of my own calls. He has all the equipment and experience so I said why not.
I have made a few pot calls and strikers. We are working on some crow calls now. I am hoping to make some owl hooters too. It seems like it is really hard to get any info on the owl call. I have seen lots of tutorials for other calls but none for the owl.
I live in Central Florida, and look forward to meeting and learning from some of you.

Well, welcome to our Custom Call Makers Community.   I'm not a turkey call maker, but I'll tell you, you've come to the right place.   We have some of the finest turkey call makers that ever turned a piece of wood or wrapped a wing bone right here on this site.  I'm sure they will be able to give you any advice and encouragement you will need.

Hello John, Nice to meet you. I try to get to your area a couple times a year. My Mom lives in Largo and I have a real good friend in Inverness. It would be nice to meet up sometime when I get down that way. Just hollar if we can be any help to you in making some calls and we look forward to seeing some great work in the future.
