The BLO takes weeks to dry, so I leave mine hanging for about a month after I dip. It makes it a hassle sometimes, but the BLO is great at dragging the grain out.

Ya live and you learn i guess... Im switching to CA... sounds like a "faster" way to finish and from the looks of the calls done with it, Id say it works well too

There is no such thing as a finish that is good, easy and fast for everything that can be
made out of wood or for every type of wood. That is why most woodworkers will have a
small fortune tied up in various finishes. Most are also still looking and or buying every
finish they can get their hands on.

True Marvin, I didnt mean faster as in it would take less time. I meant faster as in I wouldnt have to wait 3 weeks for a call just to dry up enough to finish.
