I'm fixing to head to the saw mill in the next week or so. When I go, I can usually come across a fair bunch of cypress chunks that are usually be good for call blanks. I ws wondering if anyone might like to swap for some of your scraps of other wood or whatever??? Cypress is fairly common here so it's really not a big deal. Just let me know and I'll send you out some when I get it. It'll be somewhere from 1 1/2 to 2 inches x 12 or so inches long. Just depends on what's laying around and what I can rip it down to. You'll have to bore your own holes for whatever you're planning. That way, you can be sure it fits right too.
Once you get it, you can tale a look and try it out then decide what you would like to swap. If you never worked with cyress before, I'd say it is simular to cedar to work with.
Thanks,
Brian
