Hello Everyone I am new to call making and would love a source (or sources) of High Quality Tone Boards and a Large Selection of Reeds that vary in size shape and materials.
I will be making Open Reed Predator Calls out of Wood but I need a Great Source for the High Quality "Guts" of the Calls.....Everything that makes the sound....I want to tune it and do all the custom wood work- which is where my passion is.
I know the sounds that I want and the look I want and now I just need the tone boards and reeds so that I can tune my calls to the sounds that I want.
Many MANY THANKS in Advance!

I found the tone boards, reeds, and wedges that were used in some of my custom calls.  I like these tone boards and will be getting some.  The link is:

If anyone else knows where I can find really good tone boards it would be much appreciated!
Anyone that has more resources if you could post them it would be very helpful!
Thank you!

First - Welcome to our site.

Second - you might want to try the search feature on the page, a lot of useful information is stored on this board.  Also, there is an advertisers section down below, and you might take a look there to see what is available to you.  Finally, I run a call making supply store that supports this web site, so you might even want to take a look there too.

And finally, the folks that post on this board range from Master Call Makers to Beginners.   Everyone is here to help and share, but I think you'll find that you will get more assistance by asking for suggestions than by telling people what you "need".   Get to know the call makes, and the site and I think you will find everything you could hope for as a call maker here.

You will find more in the woods than you will in books. Trees and stones will teach you that which you can never learn from masters.

Howdy Tyson, glad you found the site. As Al said, browse around awhile and you will find answers to almost all your questions. There aren't too many questions that haven't been addressed in one fashion or another on here already. Check out the tutorials. There is one post directly related to what you need to start turning. Hope you can find some good information, but we are always ready to assist.
