Got a nice cocobola pot and zircote striker in from Less_55. It has a real good shine on it, sounds good as well. I really like the tracks that are burned  in on the back. He also put a track on the end of the striker. Really nice call!! Thanks alot Les.

Got my call last week from Robert A. and due to camera malfunctions, just got the pics done. The call is Lignum Vitae with a cocobola band on the lip rest. It is a double reed and is one of the best doubles I have blown. I love doubles and this one does it all with a nice rasp and can get loud as well. The only suggestion I have for this call would be a deeper lanyard groove on the insert, but I don't use a lanyard on the inserts most of the time. I give this call an A+++++. Thank you Robert.

Nice calls

The trumpet call can be hair ripping fun.

Basically you draw in air using your lip as a reed.  So set it off center of your mouth.  Insert the mouth piece 1/4" or so where it is comfortable and where it sits well in relation to the lip.  You draw in air between the mouthpiece hole and the lip.  Setting up the vibration.  Don't worry about tone or cadence yet.  Just work on holding "a" note.  Then work on holding and sustaining a high and low note.

you get that far and you are then able to put the notes together and rhythm.

Or if allk else fails save your sanity and send the call to the orphanage. Need the address

The Mail Box produces!!!!!  Ryan, I'm having a hard time coming up with any advice. It’s sanded well, finish is superb, and I love the clean lines on the striker. What kind of wood is the striker?

Jeff, just so you now, that was number four. I had three others blowup/crack on me while I was trying to make your trade call. Lol. I forgot to mention it is Paduak with a Delrin mouth piece. Hope you enjoy!. The best advice I can give in playing a trumpet is to kiss it until you start getting the sound you want. Also, cup the end in deferent ways!!!!! They take a while to learn so keep practicing.

Here is my call from paramedic hood. This is a great peice of curtis wood turned wood duck style. I like the shape and one piece design of the call. I don't know exactly what finish it has, but i need to figure it out, cause it looks smooth. Nice work thanks for the call.
