You have the best price I have seen on a Tone board jig. I do wonder though why are they all as expensive as they are? Is it mat cost in SS that makes them so high?

The material cost is not the main factor when it comes to tooling. It is the labor cost that goes into it that drives up the price. As well an sending them off to get hardened as well. Labor is the major factor...

Guys If you need any of Doug's supplies do not hesitate to get them. He is a top notch guy and will take care of you. I have ordered from him in the past and will do so in the future.
My most recent order got lost in shipping and he sent me another package with no questions asked. Great guy and service.

Doug

I followed your advice for drilling out the insert and between your 1/4" mandrel and your advice I have not had any off center holes. I start drilling with a 1/4" brad point bit for about 75% of the hole than switch to a standard drill bit for the final depth. I do all of my drilling on my drill press with a pen vice. If the hole is straight and the mandrel is true than it stand to reason the the hole will be on center after the insert is turned. I also use a 1/4" Flexcut gouge to fine tune the hole at the tip when I am tuning the duck call. I guess I had to get that plug in because I sell Flexcut carving tools.

I really hate to ask this question. The M2 5/8" mandrels use a draw bolt right? If so would that be a 1/4"x20 thread? Thanks!!
