hello fella's can i join the group????????
« on: April 04, 2008, 11:33:20 PM »
:)hello fella's can i join the group???

here's some i do,
you probably saw these before..

my most favorite picture..

well guy's i to use the molded echo insert, because they work..an will continue to use them.
i did'nt have a complaint from no one/hunter useing it..
it was told to me..by a few of my customer's that it actually helped them build confidence..an killed them duck's.
it's alway's a cool thing to hear from other's how your call's or mine are actually doing in the field..it just make's me feel all funny inside when i here good thing's..but the truth be told,i alway's get so dam nervous when sending one out though...an ask the question's in my head...did i do enough, could i added something, hope it's tuned the way he or she wanted it..ect.ect..ect.
then to find out in the end..they were happy with it..no wonder i'm bald an gray..lol

have a good one fella's

see-ya

 :)thank's fella's,

the second picture..
the top call is figured black walnut
the call on bottom is home stabilized maple burl..

i think i found a place to help an learn,an not be bashed for how i make call's..
al this is a great site..i prefer it over the cco site.

so i will enjoy seeing all of us grow together... :)

an one more thing...which i have to say...be true to yourself,an remember were you came from..an don't let your head get to big.

i said this to acouple other's,but they did'nt hear me,an now people are seeing there true color's.

thank's fella's for the kind word's,an some know me...some don't..
but i never turned away someone that want's to learn..or has a question.
never did an never will.

thank's al for a great site..

there will be no need to go to the other one.

thank's
see-ya
steve

Steve, welcome to the forum. Those are some great looking calls, and I think we are the lucky ones having you join us. I'm sure we can learn a lot from one who turns out calls that look as good as yours. And if they are reasons for guys killing birds, they must sound good!

Hey Bud,

It was good talikin to ya the other day. We'll have to get a trade commin here soon, I love the look of some of your stabilized stuff. I got to playin with some new wood called Ipe and made a really nice toneboard from it. It had great figure and sound, but it's like turning a rock (it sinks when you throw it in water ;D). Anyways, good to see you on here, I look forward to seeing more of your calls. Take it easy.

Yep, I've seen your stuff somewhere before !
Glad to see you making over here to the insert friendly side of the WWW. Having said that I'll note that the last post you put up over there was well received for sure, even got a reply from Ed himself! I'm still messing with DIY stabilazation, but not having much luck. My vacuum pump was back ordered, then canceled by HF. Using just 70PSI and Minwax Wood Hardner is not getting it done. I have a mess of spalted rock maple that needs to be stabilized but I'm not going to mess with it untill I get it figured out a bit more. I'm thinking the vacuum phase is critical and I may need more pressure as well.  Anyway, really glad to see you over here ! Please jump right in and start sharing your expertise and your questions.
