Heres the blanks I made up today. They're 1 1/8" thick cherry. I got my mortising machine setup but didnt get a chance to drill them. What do you guys think?


I'm going to make four of them. With some walnut strikers.

Had one break today. The end broke cause it was too thin. Drilled the pockets in the rest of them. Got my thin pieces ripped to an 1/8". Going to be cutting the half moon in them on monday. I was also wondering where you guys get your chalk. I have some blue chalk for a chalk line and some string resin. Would either of those work?

Got some good news today. My mom said she will pay the difference of my lathe when she gets her tax refund. So all I need now is a chuck and some tools.
