Yea it just hasn't got cold enough up north. Last year we killed about 200 birds hunting 2 days a week. So far this year we don't have 30, but that's they way it goes. Maybe we will get some birds to move in before season closes, but if we don't at least I'm able to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Gotta give major props to Tobin (wcbillcollector).  He overnight mailed the traveling fat lady to my house so it would arrive in time for the turn a thon.  It cost him over $26!  Everyone was thrilled to see it, especially Crawdad.  Crawdad gave a heartfelt thanks to us for using his call as the traveling call.  So thanks for going the extra mile to get it here Tobin.  The group really enjoyed seeing it and reading the journal.

After all it's travels, it shows some wear.  Some of the names are pretty light now, albeit legible.  As a group, all of the guys at the turn a thon agreed that the call's wear and tear is important to the story, and cleaning it up and putting a high gloss finish over it would destroy a lot of that character.  I hope those that had a part in this call that were not at the turn a thon agree with that decision.

I'm going to photograph it for this thread and will be sending it to Al this week.  Bassinfool turned a nice little walnut stand for it to sit on as well.

Pics To come.

Thanks Aaron.  It was my pleasure.

Was there a photo ever taken of the "fat lady" after she got done singing?  I miss her already.

Fixin' to happen.  I just got new lights for the photo tent today, so I plan to do that in the next couple days and then will be sending it on to Al.
