Here in Northern California there is no shortage of lions. That's because back in the 70's the folks voted to ban hunting them. Can't kill them at all. This has resulted in way, way too many of them. In Nevada, on the other hand, where Monte got his, you can get two tags a year over the counter, no problem. And there isn't a real problem finding them there either, even though they can be hunted and killed.
