NEW "micarta" dowel blanks for sale new stuff added 10/30/2011

made a batch the other day here is a few of them for you to make into your own design. These blanks are a cloth resin layup made of either 100% cotton denim or canvas and polyester resin. There is plenty of info on turning micarta for those who have not, and i will answer any ?'s that i can.
I make these in batches because its messy, expensive, labor intensive, temp sensitive, and can be a pain if your not set up properly.
I have posted a pic of the blanks and listed the info on them below. these are the actual blanks i am selling not samples
the second picture is a call i turned out of blue denim blank that i made

From left to right
1   blue denim pressed flat, Diameter 1.40"     length 3"                 SOLD  
2   blue and black denim swirled, Diameter 1.36"      length 3"         SOLD
3   green canvas pressed flat, Diameter 1.52"      length 4.5"          SOLD                new stuff further dow the thread
4   blue denim pressed flat, Diameter 1.67"   length 5"                    SOLD
if you buy more than 1 i will reduce the prices because shipping will be cheaper

glad you like it, i am working on some more, i have been trying to get the processes down for doing these correctly for a while, it has taken a lot of time, money, and a couple hundred sq. feet of dedicated shop space but every batch seems to come out better than the last, and the calls i have turned out of the blanks have created a lot of excitement in my group of hunting buddys. I am a rookie call maker compared to some of the masters on this forum, i just hope i can contribute to the world of call making, as so many people have contributed on here, to help keep the art alive.

Jeremy, if you can keep making blanks like these that will be contributing enough!! I saw these before Stump got them all and hesitated to get one and now Im kicking myself for it.  :stickman1:

Next time you get a blank like #2 hit me up cause I want one like it.
